The proper sequence of asanas is crucial to reap the benefits of pranayama. If you’re beginning a pranayama practice, start by laying out a mat and assuming a comfortable asana of your choice. Ensure your neck is straight and close your eyes. Direct all your concentration towards the inhalation and exhalation of your breath. Next, take a deep breath, exhale and join your hands together while chanting a mantra. However, there are additional steps that can be followed, which you can learn by watching the video.

To begin, close your eyes and take a slow, deep breath. Inhale deeply, allowing your abdomen to expand, hold for a moment, and then exhale gradually. Continue this process of controlled inhalation and exhalation. Practising pranayama promotes healthy digestion and helps keep diseases at bay.

In the next round, close your eyes again. Inhale deeply, fill your chest with breath and then exhale slowly. Repeat this sequence 9 to 10 times. To take it to the next level, inhale deeply and exhale completely. Regular practice of these techniques offers numerous benefits. In one continuous motion, inhale deeply to fill both your stomach and chest with breath. As you exhale, release all the air so that your entire body feels empty. During this process, contract your chest and stomach inward.
