‘Yeh Mat Sochna Meri Wali Alag Hai’: MS Dhoni’s Advice For Bachelors Goes Viral

Indian cricket legend and CSK skipper MS Dhoni is making headlines after his appearance at an event where he discussed various topics, including the ongoing World Cup, IPL, and his retirement. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has delighted his fans by sharing some valuable relationship advice. The former Indian captain has been away from the cricket scene since leading Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL championship earlier this year.

During his break from the field, he has engaged with fans and recently attended an event in Bengaluru where he answered questions posed by his fans. One of the questions revolved around relationships, and Dhoni’s response has gone viral on social media. In addition to discussing cricket, MSD let his humorous side shine as he offered amusing advice to individuals regarding their romantic relationships.

When asked for relationship advice, Dhoni advised young people with girlfriends to consider marriage and emphasised that their partners are not fundamentally different from others.

“If you find someone that you are really happy with, please do get married. To all the bachelors present over here, those who have a girlfriend, I would like to clear this misconception for you by ending this answer – yeh mat sochna meri wali alag hai (don’t think that your partner is different from others),” remarked the 42-year-old.

Dhoni also shared insights into his retirement from cricket, which he officially announced over three years ago on August 15, 2020.

During the Bengaluru event, Dhoni revealed that he had made up his mind to retire after the 2019 ODI World Cup semi-final against New Zealand, which India lost. He recounted a conversation with a trainer in which he expressed how he wanted to say no to his trainer for the tracking device used by players.

“It gets difficult to control your emotions when you have lost a close game. And inside, I had made my entire planning. To me, that was the last day I played cricket for India. I took retirement a year later but the fact is that, that day I had retired. We cricketers are given certain machines and all of that. So everytime I went to the trainer I gave it back to him. He said ‘No you keep it. And in my mind, I am like ‘how do I tell him I won’t be needing or using it anymore’. I didn’t want to announce it at that point in time,” Dhoni shared during the recent event.
