Xiaomi’s latest operating system, HyperOS, is designed to offer a consolidated platform for linking diverse personal devices, automobiles, and smart home products, has been made official in India. Xiaomi has unveiled HyperOS as its new software interface built on Android, indicating a thorough rebranding of its software ecosystem. The company intends to expand its usage beyond smartphones to encompass other platforms as well.

Notably, with the launch of Xiaomi 14 slated to be held in India on March 7, it is will be a phone to come pre-installed with this innovative UI. The Xiaomi 14, alongside its Pro variant, initially debuted with HyperOS during their launch event in October 2023.

In March, HyperOS will be rolled out to a fresh lineup of devices in India, including the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.

In the following months, from April to June, there are plans for a wide-reaching deployment of HyperOS, which will include devices like the Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Mi 11X, 11i HyperCharge, Mi 11 Lite, 11i, Mi 10, Pad 5, Redmi K50i, Redmi 13C series, Redmi 12, Redmi 11 Prime 5G, and the Redmi Note 11 series.

Currently, in India, users of Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 can already install a stable HyperOS.

Xiaomi bid adieu to its prorietary OS MIUI after 13 years, in favour of HyperOS that was launched alongside the Xiaomi 14 lineup. HyperOS will introduce advanced AI capabilities to Xiaomi devices, including features like text generation, image creation from doodles, and text extraction from images. Moreover, users can expect a range of UI customisation options for elements such as the lockscreen, Control Center, and other interface areas.
