1. The Wit of the Gentlemen:

 # To the Hon. Board of Directors of the East India Co. Gentlemen, “I have fine boys but not much cash to provide for them. I had intended my eldest son for the church, but I find he is more likely to kick a church down than support it. I sent him to the university, but he couldn’t submit himself to college rules, and being reproved by his tutors, he took it up in the light of an affair of honour, and threatened to call them to account for it. All my plans for his welfare being thus disconcerted… now gentlemen, he’s six feet high of an athletic make, if you like him to see him in India, I will equip him as a gentleman. A letter of recommendation!”

# A Canadian is someone who drinks Brazilian Coffee from an English teacup and Munches a French pastry while sitting on his Danish furniture, having just come from an Italian movie in his German car. 2. Who do we need as our Administrators & Political Leaders: We need educated men of IQ and intellect; and we need to identify, select, recruit the few fit to be Our Mentors, as Teachers, administrators and political workers. We need those few as our Mentors who are inspired with the spirit of Selfless service.

IQ was adopted by Britishers for our education because they needed Babus and Munim – clerks, to rule over us and it was easier to teach and evaluate Marks and Degrees! But what about building, nurturing character?

Modern India is rediscovering its roots of Bharat – our Vedantic wisdom and our idea of education as a process of awakening viveka-buddhi and building powers of mind to walk-the-talk to attain our highest Goal.

Schooling and growing up must be a process focused on identifying the few with Viveka-buddhi and nurturing them to be gentleman of character, Mentors, Shrestha, of societies! Academia, Governance and as Society we must learn to distinguish between IQ and Viveka and Plan how to make, evaluate and recruit based on Righteousness.

Who is responsible to produce and recruit as our Leaders, Teachers, Preachers, the good, who are inspired and striving to Imbibe the spirit of Work as Worship; spirit of Selflessness; character-efficiency”?

Can modern Schooling and public Servants lead us towards the Global Vision of One-World/Family/Future and Karma Yogi as now envisioned by GOI to take India once again towards a Naitik Bharat?
