UP: 6-Year-Old Among 3 Killed After Car Collides With Bus Near Prayagraj, 2 Women Critical

A car rammed into a roadways bus on the Prayagraj-Lucknow highway on Tuesday, killing three persons including a six-year-old girl. Two other women sustained serious injuries in the accident. Kunda Circle Officer (CO) Ajit Singh stated that the accident occurred near Bishia village in the Hathigawan area at around 8:30 pm. The people in the car were travelling from Prayagraj to Mangarh Ashram when it rammed into a roadways bus, injuring five persons at that time.

The injured were subsequently rushed to the hospital where three of them were declared brought dead. The deceased have been identified as Anuj Goswami(32), Vaishnavi Goswami (25), and the six-year-old girl Gungun Goswami, the CO stated.

The condition of the two women Anita (40) and Twinkle (25) is said to be critical. The CO stated that they were rushed to Prayagraj for better treatment given their critical condition. The probe into the matter is currently underway and the bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem, the officer told PTI.

7 Children Among 22 Killed In UP’s Kasganj 

At least 22 people including seven children and eight women were killed in UP’s Kasganj after a tractor-trolley they were travelling in, fell into a pond last month. The deceased were headed towards Kadarganj to take a dip in the river Ganga.

The accident occurred when the tractor-trolley, carrying 40 passengers, tried to prevent a collision with another vehicle that came in front of it unexpectedly.

Following the incident, UP CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences and announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. He also directed the district administration to provide free medical assistance to the injured.

Kasganj Superintendent of Police Aparna Rajat Kaushik stated that a police team was immediately sent to the spot. The team then rescued the injured with the help of the locals and sent them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
