The Galaxy S24 series will feature three new smartphones: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Slated for January 17 at 1 pm ET or 11:30 pm IST in San Jose, California, the South Korean phone maker may also introduce innovative “Galaxy AI” features at the event. Inspired by Google’s Pixel 8 series, Samsung is said to integrate “Galaxy AI” into its S24 lineup by introducing a range of AI-powered features.

According to leaked details, there could be inclusion of AI wallpapers, real-time phone call translation, a photo enhancement tool resembling Magic Editor and AI-driven zoom capabilities. Moreover, the keyboard is likely to provide various tones of voice and advanced note-taking capabilities, enhanced through AI.

Galaxy S24, S24+ May Get Exynos Chip In India

Galaxy S24 Line Could Get 7 Years Of Android Updates

The Galaxy S23 will ship with the One UI 5.1 software, built on Android 13 and customised for the Galaxy series. Following the official release of the devices, they received their initial major update to One UI 6, based on Android 14. This update marks the first of four committed software updates from Samsung. The Galaxy S23 will receive software updates until 2027, with the last year dedicated to the final version, says a report by Android Headlines. If Google continues with its current naming convention, Android 17 in 2026 will be the final update for the Galaxy S23 phones.

Galaxy S24 Launch: 2 New Samsung Chargers Incoming?  

Additionally, two upcoming Samsung chargers are currently in development. As per a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, the first charger is speculated to be the Samsung Charger Duo 50W, potentially incorporating two USB-C ports for rapid wired charging. The second charger is thought to be a revised edition of the company’s existing 45W charger.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is said to comprise three models: the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S24, the larger Samsung Galaxy S24+, and the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. While storage options may align with the Galaxy S23 series, reports indicate that certain specifications from the previous generation might persist in the new lineup. A leaked spec sheet from famed leaker Evan Blass reveals that the Galaxy S24 series will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in some markets, such as the US, Canada, and China, while other markets may receive Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, potentially in India.

In terms of aesthetics, all three models of the upcoming Galaxy S24 are expected to share similarities with the S23 models, although the Ultra model may feature a flatter screen. The displays on all three models may boast a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing the overall visual experience.

Samsung is also rumoured to offer a diverse range of colour options, including Onyx Black, Cobalt Violet, Marble Gray, and Amber Yellow.

Positioned as the most budget-friendly variant, the base S24 is projected to include a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 8GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage, 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging, and a versatile triple camera setup featuring a detailed 50MP main sensor.

The S24+, positioned in the middle, is expected to offer a spacious 6.7-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 8/12GB RAM, 256/512GB storage, 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging, and the same triple camera array as the S24.

Living up to its Ultra designation, the S24 Ultra is poised to be the utmost premium model with a substantial 6.8-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB RAM, 256/512GB/1TB storage, 5000mAh battery with 45W charging, and a quad camera system featuring an upgraded 200MP primary sensor paired with both 10MP and 50MP telephoto zooms.
