Indian star cricketer Rishabh Pant was seen engaging in a game of ‘kanche’ with children on the street, participating in this traditional Indian game often played with rolling marbles. Pant has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Following multiple injuries from a car accident in December 2022, he has not participated in any competitive cricket. The talented cricketer is anticipated to make his return to the field for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

The left-handed batter posted a video on his Instagram story, offering fans a glimpse of himself enjoying a game of ‘kanche’ with children. The video quickly circulated among fans on various social media platforms, including X, eventually going viral online. Pant also wrote a text on the video stating, ” After ages. Anticipation Around Pant’s Comeback To Cricket

As per Sourav Ganguly, the Director of Cricket at Delhi Capitals (DC), Rishabh Pant is scheduled to be discharged from the NCA on March 5 (Tuesday). Although it’s uncertain whether the left-handed batsman will be fully prepared for match action at the beginning of IPL 2024, he is confirmed to be part of the DC squad throughout the tournament.

Rishabh Pant was absent for the entire duration of 2023, which resulted in him missing significant tournaments, including IPL 2023, World Test Championship 2021-23, and the ODI World Cup 2023. In his absence, David Warner assumed the captaincy for the Delhi-based franchise.

Rishabh Pant’s most recent appearance in Test cricket was against Bangladesh in Mirpur in 2022, where he posted scores of 93 and 9 in the respective innings. India emerged victorious in that match by 3 wickets. Pant’s comeback to Delhi Capitals (DC) will be eagerly anticipated, considering his significant contributions to the team in previous seasons.

Delhi Capitals are slated to lock horns with Punjab Kings on March 23 (Saturday) in the second match of the IPL 2024 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
