Pulwama Encounter: One Terrorist Killed In J&K’s Frassipora, Search On For More Threats

One terrorist has been killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama. According to J&K Police, arms, ammunition, and incriminating material have been recovered from the site where the body of the slain terrorist was recovered. A search is on for more terrorists in the area. The incident comes on a day when Jammu & Kashmir is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr along with the rest of the nation.

The encounter started early on Thursday in the Frassipora area of Pulwama district. Security forces in Jammu & Kashmir have been on their toes over the past few weeks. The security forces in the Union Territory have foiled several attempts to smuggle drugs. Several alleged drug peddlers have been arrested in this regard.
The Baramulla Police also launched an operation and arrested three terrorists from the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Thursday. The cops recovered three grenades from them.
