The Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) has transformed a metro rail coach into a vibrant restaurant to offer passengers a quirky fine dining experience within an ambiance reminiscent of a stationary metro train coach.

In a bid to offer a unique dining experience, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) has shaped a metro rail coach into a vibrant restaurant.

This restaurant, situated inside the Noida Sector 137 metro station on the Aqua line, is a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC).

With this initiative, the corporation aims to offer passengers a quirky fine dining experience within an ambiance reminiscent of a stationary metro train coach.

The coach boasts seating arrangements for approximately 100 people, making it suitable for family and friend gatherings and small parties and meetings. In addition to that, people can also choose an outdoor seating arrangement outside the coach. Talking about the restaurant’s food menu, it offers a diverse menu featuring a variety of culinary delights catering to various palates.

Currently, the restaurant is operational on a trial basis, however, it will be officially inaugurated on April 20, 2024. Following the inauguration, people can visit the restaurant from 11:30 AM to 12 AM.

However, Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) has announced a soft opening of the unique restaurant, which means that customers can place orders and visit the place to enjoy the dining experience prior to the grand launch.

Upon the completion of staff training and infrastructure setup, the restaurant is scheduled to be fully operational from April 20 onwards.

The NMRC awarded a nine-year contract to an agency entrusted with overseeing its operations and managing the restaurant within the metro network. This initiative is part of the corporation’s broader strategy to improve passenger experiences and generate additional revenue streams.

In the past, the corporation has successfully established small kiosks at metro stations as well as leased commercial spaces to private companies for business purposes. These initiatives have not only helped to increase revenue but have also played an important role in luring more passengers to the metro network.

Meanwhile, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) approved a detailed project report (DPR) for expanding its network to Noida Extension, also known as Greater Noida West via an interchange station on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro.

The DPR for the development of the Aqua Line corridor from Noida Sector-51 station to Knowledge Park V (Greater Noida) suggested 11 stations over a 17.43-kilometer route at a cost of Rs 2991.60 crore.
