Motorola’s latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the Moto G34 5G, made its debut in India on Tuesday, January 9. This Lenovo-owned brand’s offering marks the first product launch of 2024 in the country. Boasting a hole-punch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The dual rear camera setup is led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and the smartphone packs a robust 5,000mAh battery.

Originally introduced in the Chinese market in December last year, the Moto G34 5G aims to capture the budget segment in India.

Moto G34 Price, Availability

In terms of pricing, the Moto G34 5G is available in two variants: the base model with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 10,999, while the top-end version with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage comes in at Rs 11,999. Motorola is sweetening the deal with a Rs 1,000 exchange bonus, bringing the effective prices down to Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively. The smartphone is offered in Charcoal Black, Ice Blue, and Ocean Green colours, with the Green variant featuring a vegan leather finish on the rear panel.

Interested buyers can get their hands on the Moto G34 5G starting January 17, as it becomes available for sale on Flipkart and select retail stores in India.

Optics-wise, the Moto G34 5G sports a dual rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, accompanied by a single LED flash. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera. Storage-wise, the device offers 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.

Running on dual SIM (Nano) capability, the Moto G34 5G runs on Android 14 out of the box, with a promised upgrade to Android 15 and three years of security patches. The device boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Panda Glass protection. The smartphone’s display features a hole-punch cutout, and under the hood, it is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC and 8GB of RAM, expandable virtually up to 16GB using available storage.

Connectivity options on the Moto G34 5G include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, supports face unlock, and includes sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, SAR sensor, sensor hub, e-compass, and proximity sensor. It also boasts dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound technology. The device comes with a substantial 5,000mAh battery and includes a 20W TurboPower charger in the box for quick charging.
