Madhya Pradesh, India’s secondlargest state by area, holds a unique demographic and geographic position bordered by five states. With rich cultural influences from neighbours and over 21% of its population tribal, it boasts many regional languages. The state government over the last three years has made remarkable strides in education, health, tourism and renewable energy.
PM Modi has long maintained education is critical to improving citizens’ lives. At the G20 education ministers’ meet recently, he said, “Education is not only the foundation upon which our civilisation has been built, but it is also the architect of humanity’s future.”
