It is expected that the booking for Fronx are likely to fall in the future, as Toyota is gearing up to introduce the Urban Cruiser Taisor in the same segment.

Ever since Maruti Suzuki has released the feature-loaded all-new Fronx and Baleno facelift in the Indian market, both have received welcoming responses from customers. Recently, a senior official from the company revealed that both vehicles are getting a combined 1,250 bookings daily, taking both models to the top in terms of popularity.

It has been reported by the company that before the launch of Fronx, Baleno used to receive a total booking of around 830 to 850 on a daily basis. However, the number has decreased lately, and stuck somewhere at 700 units as some of the customers shifted to Fronx, which is getting a total of 550 bookings every day, a big thanks to its advanced features and coupe-style appearance.

It is also expected that the above-mentioned booking numbers for Fronx are likely to fall in the future, as Toyota is gearing up to introduce the Urban Cruiser Taisor in the same segment next month. Reports say the vehicle will be based on the same platform, and likely to share most of the design elements from Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Price and Engine

Meanwhile, Fronx has dropped in the Indian market at the starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The mini SUV is being offered in two engines, allowing customers to choose between manual and automatic transmissions. The four-wheeler is powered by a 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet engine, which generates a max power of 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque.

When it comes to the Baleno, it comes with petrol and company company-fitted CNG option. It features a 1.2 litre, four-cylinder engine, and churns out similar power as Fronx. However, when switching to the CNG mode, it delivers a max power of 76 bhp and 99 Nm of torque.
