Madhya Pradesh’s New CM: Who Is Mohan Yadav

At 58, Mohan Yadav stands as a prominent OBC (Other Backward Class) figure within the BJP in Madhya Pradesh. With a Ph.D. to his name, he brings a wealth of experience to the table, having chaired significant bodies such as the Ujjain Development Authority from 2004 to 2010 and later the MP State Tourism Development Corporation from 2011 to 2013.

His political journey commenced in 1984 with his association with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), and over the years, he has become an influential leader associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

BJP insiders see Mohan Yadav as an experienced politician, well-versed in administrative intricacies. As the party gears up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the OBC leader’s elevation to the top post can seen as a calculated move.

Notably, the ceremony witnessed Mohan Yadav was seen touching outgoing CM Shivraj Chouhan’s feet and the latter blessed him, symbolising the unity within the party regarding the decision to change the leadership.
