Hyundai Creta 2024 Vs Kia Seltos Facelift: Competition is brewing in the compact SUV space and it is more fierce than sibling rivalry. The updated Kia Seltos was launched last year with a comprehensive list of changes including a new look and an enhanced feature list along with a more powerful petrol engine in form of a 1.5l turbo. Till now it is one of the most feature rich SUVs out there but the segment leader, the Creta is now back with a new look as well. Like the new Seltos, the new Creta gets all of the above changes but gets even bigger styling updates in form of an entirely new face plus a completely different rear styling.

While we are yet to get the complete specifications, we expect dimension wise, the new Creta to be somewhat similar to the current one but the look is huge. While being similar in some aspects, both look completely different.

The new Creta has a bolder, tougher look thanks to a square shaped DRL or H shaped along with a huge new grille. It borrows the global design language for SUVs that Hyundai is using. In stark contrast, the Seltos continues the look of the earlier one but with a sharper edge now with some tweaks. Both SUVs get the full width LED tail-lamp treatment too but the execution is different.

Inside, the new Creta has an all new interior with a larger digital instrument cluster which is joined with an equally large touchscreen. The digital display is new and the dashboard has also been updated heavily here with new touch controls. The Seltos also gets the joined screen layout with some differences to the button layout below.

The bigger draw would be the feature list as the new Creta competes with the Seltos here and both can claim to be the most feature rich SUV. The new Seltos brought in the panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera, ADAS Level 2, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch head-up display, a Bose audio system, electric parking brake, ambient lighting and more.

The new Creta also now gets ADAS Level 2 along with a 360 degree camera plus ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake, 64 color ambient lighting and more. It seems it is neck and neck.

In terms of engines too, the new Seltos has a 1.5l turbo petrol which now also makes its way into the Creta facelift. The difference is that the Creta would most likely come with a manual and a DCT auto while the Seltos turbo has an iMT along with the DCT. The other two engines include a 1.5l CVT and manual petrol plus a 1.5l diesel with manual/torque converter for the Creta while the Seltos has an iMT instead.

Hence, more than ever, the gap is narrowed between these two siblings with the Creta being a tougher, comfort oriented premium compact SUV while the Seltos focuses on sportiness.
