GATE 2024: Registrations Begin On gate2024.iisc.in – Know How To Apply And Other Details

The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) has started the registration process for the GATE Exam 2024. Eligible candidates who wish to appear for the exam can register online on the GATE 2024 Official Website – gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The last date to fill and submit the GATE 2024 Registration form is September 29, 2023. Interested candidates may note that while registering for the exam, Female, SC, and ST category candidates will be required to pay a GATE 2024 Registration Fee of Rs. 900. All other candidates will be required to pay a fee of Rs 1,800.
Importantly, candidates who miss out on registering for the GATE Exam 2024 within the given deadline would still be able to register for the exam till October 13, 2023, with a late fine of Rs 500. However, candidates must note that the aforementioned timeline for GATE 2204 Events is tentative and may change later. Notably, the GATE 2024 Exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, and the institute will conduct the GATE Exam 2024 February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.
Candidates with an undergraduate degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ and Humanities can apply for the GATE 2024 Exam. Those studying in the third year of their undergraduate programmes at present can also apply. While the previous year’s GATE Exam Eligibility also included ‘Commerce’ subject, the same has been removed this year.
Moreover, the GATE 2024 Exam will be conducted in centres in India only. International and NRI candidates can register for the GATE Exam 2024, but they will be required to select a test city in India where they would wish to appear for the exam.
