Amid the time when top car manufacturers are either transforming their existing vehicles into EVs or launching new ones, the leading car maker Ford decided to take a different route and shift their primary focus towards hybrid cars.

It has been reported by the Teambhp that the the company has slowed down the production of battery-powered SUVs & pickup trucks as yet, and has begun investing more in hybrid options.

Ford Future Plans

The report also suggested that the company aims to enhance the overall hybrid range by 2030, and will offer more options to the customers to choose from.

During this time, the company will continue to invest in the EV segment as well.  However, the production for some of the range has been postponed due to the above mentioned reason.

EV Product Line Pushed Further

The production of the upcoming next-gen electric pickup (codenamed T3), which was scheduled to arrive in 2025, also has been pushed to 2026. The brand is yet to share the exact release date and related details.

Meanwhile, Ford is considered one of the top contributors in the EV segment. The company has achieved the second-highest rank in sales during the first quarter of this year. However, as a whole, it was ranked third when it comes to making new EVs in the comparative segment.

Ford’s CEO Jim Farley said in the U.S., the company has been retaining the second top position for the last two year, and is committed to scaling up the business by bringing the right hybrid, gas, and fully electric vehicles at the right time.
