The country’s first-ever Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 adventure motorcycle has officially rolled into the hands of its first owner.

In a sensational moment captured on Instagram by Carbon Racing Inc, the delivery of this thrilling bike was unveiled at a Royal Enfield dealership in Tumkur, Karnataka. Clad in the striking Hanle Black shade, this magnificent machine comes with a price tag of Rs 2.84 lakh, making it the premium choice in the lineup.

The photos, shared with an emotional caption, “Capturing Special Moments: The First-Ever Himalayan 450 Finds a Home in India,” express gratitude to Bhagavathi Motors Tumkur for accommodating the early delivery request, setting it apart from other showrooms.

Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 452 stands tall as a symbol of rugged elegance in the company’s portfolio. With a newly designed lighter twin-spar tubular frame, distinctive front and rear fenders, and an expanded 17-litre fuel tank (up from 15 litres in the Himalayan 411), the bike radiates strength and style.

For tech enthusiasts, the motorcycle offers a new 4-inch round TFT display featuring phone connectivity, full map navigation, and media controls. Additional perks include multiple ride modes, a USB Type-C charging port, and a sophisticated all-LED lighting system.

Adding to its off-road capabilities, the 452 boasts an upside-down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear, providing an impressive 200 mm travel on both ends, a substantial upgrade from the 180 mm on the Himalayan 411.

Underneath the surface lies the groundbreaking Sherpa 452 engine, a 452cc single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve powerhouse that generates 40 bhp at 8000 rpm and around 40 Nm of torque. This marks Royal Enfield’s first-ever liquid-cooled engine on a motorcycle, complemented by ride-by-wire technology.

The bike’s stopping power comes from its 320 mm hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a 270 mm disc brake caliper at the rear, complemented by switchable dual-channel ABS. Its wheel setup includes a 21-inch spoked wheel at the front and a 17-inch spoked wheel at the rear, both tubeless.

Royal Enfield has launched this adventure motorcycle with an introductory price starting from Rs 2.69 lakh, going up to Rs 2.84 lakh until December 31, 2023. The range includes the Kaza Brown base variant at Rs 2.69 lakh, the Pass variant in Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue at Rs 2.74 lakh, the Summit variant in Kamet White at Rs 2.79 lakh, and the top-tier Summit variant in Hanle Black at Rs 2.84 lakh.
