Eve Teasing, Drunk Driving Under Lens As Delhi Readies For New Year Amid Tight Security

The Delhi Police has taken several steps to ensur tight security in the national capital as the city gears to welcome the New Year. Speaking on the security preparations ahead of New Year celebrations, DCP (Shahdara) Rohit Meena said on Sunday that the police will take steps to prevent cases of drunk driving. He further stated that the safety and security of women will be a priority to avoid incidents of eve-teasing.
“We have identified 59 spots where people will come to celebrate New Year. We will take steps to prevent drunk driving cases and prioritise women’s safety to avoid eve-teasing incidents,” Rohit Meena said, as quoted by news agency PTI.
