Due to the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 coinciding with the IPL 2024 dates, the BCCI opted not to release a full schedule initially, disclosing only the schedule for the initial leg. Delhi’s home fixtures are relocated to Visakhapatnam for the same reason. The governing body clarified that the schedule for the remainder of the season would be finalised once the polling dates were confirmed. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently dispelled speculations about IPL 2024 being relocated abroad, confirming that the tournament would be held exclusively in India.
