The 77th British Academy Film Awards Red carpet was graced by global superstar and style icon Deepika Padukone. Making her BAFTA debut as a presenter, Deepika presented an award in the Film Not In The English Language Category.

Deepika made a statement in a shimmery sequin saree designed by renowned Indian couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Known for celebrating India with a global appeal, Sabyasachi took one of the most loved embellishments – the sequin, and created the six yards of sheer elegance. The tiny sparkling disc shone bright under the flashbulbs as Deepika walked the red carpet looking like a dream.

Deepika representing India draped in a saree not only celebrates Indian craftsmanship but also sets a benchmark for Indian fashion on a global platform.

Styled by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani, Deepika paired the saree with a matching sleeveless contemporary backless blouse. Adding a hint of drama to the saree were the beaded tassels dangling from the hem of the saree pallu. Glamorously chic best describes Deepika’s BAFTA red carpet look. Exuding radiance and shining bright like a true star, Deepika elegantly posed on the red carpet making every picture a memorable one.

Indian sarees and sequins are a match made in heaven and a favourite during weddings. The champagne/silver sequined saree is a classic yet versatile pick this festive season. While the saree was the star of Deepika’s look, you can add a pop of colour with your choice of jewellery.

Taking to Instagram, Deepika Padukone shared a couple of images of her look before she stepped on the red carpet. Complementing her glamorous look was her minimal and flawless makeup done by celebrity makeup artist Anil C and creatively styled hair done by celebrity hair stylist Yianni Tsapatori.

Hosted at London’s Royal Festival Hall, the BAFTA’s ceremony was attended by the who’s who of the film and television industry including Margot Robbie, Dua Lipa, Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Cillian Murphy, Phoebe Dynevor, Lily Collins, Sophie Wilde, Charithra Chandran, India Amarteifio, Fantasia Taylor, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Ayo Edebiri, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Greta Gerwig among others.
