As early trends showed Congress leading in Telangana, which has been ruled by the BRS ever since the state was formed in 2014, celebrations broke out at the party office in Hyderabad. Congress supporters were seen celebrating and distributing sweets while chanting “Bye, Bye KCR”.
The K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has dominated Telangana politics for a decade and has been at the helm since 2014, when Telangana was granted statehood. The BRS also won the 2018 elections.
News agency ANI shared the visual of the Congress supporters celebrating at the party office in Hyderabad.

Party supporters were also seen celebrating outside Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy’s residence in Hyderabad.

Another video showed Congress workers pouring milk on a poster featuring Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, party MP Rahul Gandhi and state party chief Revanth Reddy. Revanth Reddy was ahead of his nearest rivals in both Kodangal and Kamareddy constituencies while CM KCR was marginally ahead in Gajwel.

BRS MP K Keshava Rao, while talking about the early trends said, Congress had done a great job. He said, “We have to congratulate them. This is not a joke…They have done a great job. We are coming down, they have gone up. This has to be accepted because the figures will say. There is no question of hiding those things.”
