The people of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Mizoram have cast their votes to elect their leaders in the State Assembly and the counting of the votes for the same will be done today (December 3, 2023). As the counting unfolds, people’s reactions to it will be noteworthy.

If we talk about the polling so far and the expected results then according to the Exit Polls, the Congress is expected to form the government in Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. As for the Bhartiya Janta Party, it is expected to continue with the tradition of Rajasthan i.e., a change of government after every five years. As for Mizoram, the Mizo National Front (MNF) seems to be winning.

Rajasthan Exit Poll Result 2023

As per the ABP-CVoter exit poll, BJP, which has fielded as many as seven MPs in Rajasthan and the saffron banks on the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is expected to get around 94 to 114 seats and garner a vote share of 44.7 per cent. The Grand Old Party, on the other hand, is expected to get 71 to 91 seats but will witness a rise in vote share to 41.1 per cent as compared to 39.3 per cent that it had received in the 2018 polls.

Madhya Pradesh Exit Poll Result 2023

Despite Congress’ win in 2020, it lost power due to the rebellion by Jyotiraditya Scindia but now again the party is set to win in Madhya Pradesh and bag around 113 to 137 seats. It is likely to garner a vote share of 44.1 per cent. On the other hand, the saffron party aims for a fourth consecutive term in power, however, it has been predicted to win 88-112 seats, with a 40.7 per cent vote share.

Chhattisgarh Exit Poll Result 2023

According to ABP-CVoter exit polls, Congress might enjoy a marginal win and form the government. The party is banking on the welfare schemes announced for the tribal population, and it is expected to win around 41 to 53 seats in the 90-member assembly and garner a vote share of 43.4 per cent. 

Notably, the exit polls show BJP breathing down Congress’s neck, with a 41.2 per cent vote share. The saffron party may get anywhere between 36-48 seats.

Telangana Exit Poll Result 2023

Telangana may see a new party form the government since it was carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014. Congress is predicted to defeat BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samiti of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Congress is expected to secure 49-65 seats in the 119-member Assembly and is expected to get 40.7 per cent of the votes.

The BRS banking on transformative schemes may only be able to get 38-54 seats with a vote share of 38.8 per cent. Meanwhile, the BJP which is aiming to establish a foothold in the southern state is predicted to win only 5-13 seats.

Mizoram Exit Poll Result 2023

The ruling MNF seems to be on shaky ground according to the ABP-CVoter exit polls. A close fight between the Zoramthanga-led party and the emerging Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) has been predicted. 

MNF is predicted to win anywhere between 15-21 seats in the 40-member assembly, and the ZPM may bag 12-18 seats.
