Bengaluru’s billionaire barber, Ramesh Babu, boasts India’s largest luxury car collection, leasing out over 200 high-end vehicles to celebrities.

The billionaire barber from Bengaluru, Ramesh Babu, is arguably the owner of India’s largest collection of luxury cars.

He has about 200 high-end cars in his collection, which includes Rolls Royce, Mercedes Maybach, Range Rovers and Bentleys. The same barber purchased not one, but three Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans in March this year.

According to Cartoq, Ramesh Babu, who began as a lowly barber, now owns more than 200 cars. He leases them out to celebrities through Ramesh Tours & Travels.

Sundaram Motors from Bengaluru shared photos of Ramesh Babu taking delivery of three Mercedes-Benz E-Class cars on Instagram. The dealership posted the images with the message, “Your adventure has just taken an exciting turn! Welcome aboard, Ramesh Tours & Travels, to this thrilling journey.”

“Meet your magnificent new Mercedes-Benz E Class LWB — a symbol of unparalleled luxury and top-tier performance bound to capture attention wherever you venture,” the post added. In the photos, Ramesh Babu could be seen receiving a bouquet from a dealership employee. He was joined by his wife and two other business associates.

The High-Tech Silver Metallic colour is common to all three vehicles. The three E-Class LWBs all have black leather inside upholstery.

Ramesh Babu has picked the E-Class LWB 220d model. This particular model has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This motor produces a maximum output of 192 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. It features a 9-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The ex-showroom price of the E-Class LWB is Rs 72.8 lakh.

Rolls Royce Ghost 

Ramesh Babu purchased the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series 1 in February 2011. It is finished in the classic colour white and cost Rs 3 crore. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 petrol engine. The car generates a maximum power of 562 bhp and a peak torque of 780 Nm. The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Mercedes-Maybach 

Ramesh Babu owns the S600 model of the Maybach car, which was introduced at Rs 2.7 crores. This opulent vehicle is propelled by a gigantic 6.0-liter V12 engine. This motor delivers 530 bhp and 830 Newton meters of torque. Individual massage, ventilated front and rear seats are included. The car also includes a wine bottle refrigerator, back entertainment screens and other features.

Apart from the cars stated above, Ramesh Babu’s collection includes Mercedes S Class, E Class, BMW 7-series, Viano, a BMW 5 Series, many Volvo cars, Honda Accords, Toyota Camrys, and a few Honda CR-Vs.
