The Mumbai Indians skipper lost the toss and Rajasthan Royals elected to bowl first and once Sanju Samson was through with his talk with Sanjay Manjrekar, the Indian all-rounder had the following to say:
“We wanted to bowl first as well, but it’s a good toss to lose. We will see what we can put together. You know, absolutely, this franchise holds a lot of value and its fan base is an amazing one. Happy to be featuring in it’s 250th IPL game. Quite exciting to be part of this game. We don’t bother with this slow start we have got. We always look forward to the future. We will back the process and looking forward to play the brand that everyone loves. No changes. Same XI.”
Mumbai Indians are winless in the IPL 2024 and with Delhi Capitals’ win over Chennai Super Kings, the five-time champions are now the only winless side in the tournament and the onus is on the new captain to turn things around, because, if fans are to be concerned, they can only come on your side once results are in the Mumbai Indians’ court.
