In the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 played on October 14Saturday, Pakistan faced defeat once again against their traditional rivals, India, marking the eighth such instance in the history of the tournament. The one-sided record has solidified India’s dominant 8-0 lead in their head-to-head encounters in World Cup matches.

While cricket experts have analysed the results to determine what caused Pakistan the big loss in Ahmedabad Saturday,

However, a well-known Pakistani TikToker and journalist, Hareem Shah, has come up with an astonishing claim, stating the “reason” for the defeat. In her video, she alleges that India’s victory was a result of black magic.

Hareem Shah took to her social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), where she shared an image of a tantrik, insinuating that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hired a tantrik to do “black magic” on the Pakistan team to influence the outcome of the match. In fact, she named BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, and even the purported “tantrik” in her post, asking BCCI to “investigate”.

There had been no reaction from the BCCI till the time of writing. It’s important to note that during a phase in the match, Pakistan was positioned at 155 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. The dismissal of Babar Azam by Mohammad Siraj proved to be a turning point, leading to a collapse in Pakistan’s batting lineup, resulting in a total of just 191 runs. In India’s bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav each contributed with two wickets. Ultimately, India secured a comfortable victory after strong performances from Rohit Sharma, who scored 86 runs, and Shreyas Iyer, who remained unbeaten with 53*.

Hareem Shah‘s post, shared on October 14, has garnered a lot of reactions. Most people found it amusing and took the opportunity to take a dig at the TikTok star. The post has received over 500K views. Check out some of the reactions:
