Ayodhya To Be Connected With 8 Major Cities Via New Flight Routes From Feb 1 — Details

New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to introduce eight new flight routes for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, commencing from February 1, 2024. As per news agency ANI, this strategic initiative aims to create a web of connections, linking Ayodhya with major cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. 

As per the information, the Ayodhya-Delhi route inaugural flight is scheduled to operate daily except Wednesdays. The flight will depart from Ayodhya at 08:40 AM and return from Delhi at 10:40 AM, creating a seamless connection between the national capital and the holy city. Similarly, the Chennai-Ayodhya flight will operate daily, departing from Chennai at 12:40 PM and returning from Ayodhya at 16:00 PM, reported ANI.

The Ahmedabad-Ayodhya flight is designed to enhance connectivity on all days except Wednesdays. The Mumbai-Ayodhya route, operating on a daily basis, will depart from Mumbai at 08:20 AM and return from Ayodhya at 11:15 AM , connecting the financial capital with the spiritual heartland, the Aviation Ministry stated.

For the Jaipur-Ayodhya, Patna-Ayodhya, and Darbhanga-Ayodhya routes, flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-Ayodhya and Ayodhya-Bengaluru flights are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, providing periodic access for travelers, ANI added.

The second route on the list is the Chennai-Ayodhya flight, which will fly from Chennai at 12:40 PM to reach Ayodhya by 15:15 PM, and it will take off from Ayodhya at 16:00 PM. The flight will operate daily. 

As these routes become operational, they are expected to not only ease travel for devotees but also contribute to the economic development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas.

On January 22, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place. The unveiling of the revered Ram Lalla idol was a central focus of the ceremony, following an hour-long series of rituals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the event, leading the auspicious ceremony.
