Ayodhya Ram Mandir Witnesses Around 1.5 Lakh Pilgrims Daily: Temple Trust

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra announced on Wednesday that the Ayodhya Ram Mandir receives approximately 1.5 lakh pilgrims per day. The temple was inaugurated on January 22 with a grand ceremony. The temple trust further informed devotees that they could enter the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir for Darshan between 6:30 AM and 9:30 PM.

In an X post, the temple trust said, “The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is witnessing an average of 1 to 1.5 lakh pilgrims daily”.

Earlier on Tuesday, Doordarshan (DD) National said that Ramlala’s devotees can now watch a live telecast of the aarti from Ayodhya every day. The aarti will be telecast live from the Ram Temple in Ayodhya every day at 6.30 AM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22 was followed by the public opening of the Ram Mandir on January 23. According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, construction on the Ram Temple complex will be completed by December this year.

Anil Mishra, a trust member, told the PTI news agency that over 3,500 additional workers will be deployed soon to speed up the construction of the temple’s remaining two floors. He also mentioned that there would be five peaks in the temple, three of which had been prepared prior to the consecration ceremony. The temple’s main peak stands at approximately 161 feet tall and is covered in gold.

Six gods and goddesses will be built along the parkota in the Ram Temple complex. Apart from the Ram Temple, the road from Tedhi Bazaar at the western end of the Ram Janmabhoomi to a post office via Ashrafi Bhawan and Vibhishan Kund is being widened by 15 metres, according to Ayodhya’s District Magistrate, Nitish Kumar.

Every day in the afternoon, the Ram temple closes to give the deity’rest’. The temple trust increased the darshan time from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Since January 23, the deity has been woken up at 4 a.m. for morning rituals. Typically, it takes about 2 hours before devotees are granted ‘darshan’.

Since the conservation ceremony of Ram Lalla’s idol on January 22, 2024, around 75 lakh devotees have visited the temple. Around two lakh devotees visit the Ram Temple during weekends, PTI reported citing an official.
