Apple on Wednesday upped the prices of its online services, inluding Apple TV+, Arcade and News+ subscriptions in the US and a few other international markets. It should be noted that there has been no price hike for Apple TV+ users in India. This comes days after streaming giant Nietflix increased subscription prices for its basic and premium tiers in select markets. Apple has increased the price of Apple TV+ to $9.99 per month, up from the previous cost of $6.99 a month.

The Apple One Individual plan is now priced at $19.95 per month, Apple One Family costs $25.95 per month and Premier costs $37.95 a month. With the monthly price changes, the annual subscription for Apple TV+ has increased from $69 per year to $99 per year. Apple Arcade’s price has gone up to $6.99 from $4.99 while the News+ monthly cost has been increased to $12.99.

Since its launch four years ago, Apple TV+ has made history for streaming services by crossing major milestones in a short span of time. Apple Arcade offers players unlimited access to hundreds of incredibly fun games — nearly tripling the titles available when the service first debuted in 2019 — with exciting new games and updates added monthly.

“Existing subscribers will see these price increases 30 days later, on their next renewal date. We are focused on delivering the best experiences possible for our customers by consistently adding high-quality entertainment, content, and innovative features to our services,” Apple said in a statement.

The Cupertino, California-based tech giant has updated the prices on its official website. The new subscription prices are detailed on the respective website branch.

Meanwhile, Netflix has also announced that it is increasing the price of its Basic plan from $9.99 to $11.99 per month and the price of its Premium tier from $19.99 to $22.99 per month, while sharing its third-quarter (Q3) earnings report. The price of its $6.99 ad-supported plan and $15.49 Standard plan, however, will remain the same.
